it's almost 3am, I can't sleep, so with that in mind I am going to go
on a liberty rant. Please read it all before commenting because lord
knows I wouldn't want any of my Republican or Democrat friends to look
anymore uninformed than they already do every time they go to the ballot
box...
What has Big Government done to earn so much of your
respect? Do you really think there is a difference in a fat ass or a
jackass when they are both working to enslave you? Let's take a hard
look at what the government makes you give up when it comes to your own
personal freedoms.
New York City: If you sell "loosy" cigarettes
(because for some reason some bureaucratic tyrant decided to slam his
iron fist down) you will get killed by the police department. (Supported
by most Democrat and Republican politicians)
Mississippi: If a
man and a woman who are unmarried (maybe their against getting married
based on their religious or lack of religious beliefs) decide that they
want to adopt a child. They are denied. (Supported by most Republican
politicians)
Anywhere in the United States: If you choose to sit
in the privacy of your own home and partake in a left handed cigarette
otherwise known as the almighty bad drug that has killed exactly ZERO
people you can..... Get fired from your job, lose your house in a raid,
get your home raided, get kidnapped and caged, lose your kids, lose your
freedom for years, and after you get out you also lose some of your
inherent rights. (Supported by both Republican and Democrat politicians)
California: Some bureaucrats have decided that if I, a criminal, decide
to break in your house because I am a jobless bum with sticky fingers
and your brand new flat screen TV would look better in my house instead
of yours, and I accidentally cut myself on the glass from the window of
your bedroom that I just broke in to I can sue you for my medical
expenses and if you defend yourself I can have you arrested for assault.
(Supported by most Democrat politicians)
Mississippi: Some
Baptist (I think I like Baptists about as much as I like Islam and
Communism) have decided because all gays are going to hell that even
though it's none of their business what goes on in someone else's home,
Adam and Steve can't get married. My question to those people is if
their going to hell already what business is it of yours? Judge not,
that ye be not judged. (Mathew 7:1) Oh that's right you Baptists (mostly
Republican) didn't read that. (Supported by most Republican
politicians)
Anywhere in the United States: The Patriot act
which is what a lot of Obama's domestic spying is allowed by was passed
by George Dubya Bush. Oh I'm sorry was that another point of Democrats
and Republicans using a tyrannical policy again?
Here's the
Libertarian policy on all issues. My sources on this are two people on
my friends list who are current candidates for the General election in
November here in Mississippi. One is Joey Robinson who is running for
Mississippi District 4 and the other is Danny Bedwell who is running for
Mississippi District 1. My other source is myself who is a Libertarian
and loves freedom.
Libertarian stances on left handed cigarettes: Who cares as long as you're not hurting anybody else.
Libertarian stances on gay marriage: Who cares as long as you're not
hurting anybody else. Two consenting adults in the privacy of their own
home can do whatever they like.
Libertarian stances on self or home defense: We are non-violent but will defend ourselves without question.
Libertarian stances on spying on American citizens: Got a warrant? No? Get lost and don't tap my phone.
Libertarian stances on person to person commerce: It's not the government's business.
Libertarian stances on adultery: Who cares as long as you're both consenting adults.
So with that said can you people who allegedly love this country and
allegedly love your freedom tell me why you are voting for tyrants who
want to take your rights and make you subjects of their ruling class?
Also when you think about slavery think about taxes.
Article I Section VIII of the US Constitution states:
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts
and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and
general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and
Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
To borrow Money on the credit of the United States;
To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;
To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;
To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;
To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States;
To establish Post Offices and post Roads;
To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for
limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their
respective Writings and Discoveries;
To constitute Tribunals inferior to the supreme Court;
To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations;
To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;
To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;

What I don't
see is Obamacare, LBJ's Great Society. Welfare, Food Stamps, or any
other socialist program. I don't see anything about the Federal Reserve
coining money. I don't see anything about giving money and raising taxes
to give arms to foreign powers (most of us want to wipe us off the map
with an ICBM up our collective asses).
